L.A. Woman is the 6th Doors album to be released and unfortunately the last to feature Jim Morrison before his death 3 months later. It is their most blues-driven record and is known for the featured song "Riders on the Storm."

The Doors are one of the most famous rock bands in the world, still to this day. They are known for their psychedelic sound and lyrics. The band was named after Aldous Huxley's book, The Doors of Perception. They were the first group ever to be featured on a billboard over the sunset strip. The Doors made music at a crazy fast rate and released 5 studio albums in 6 years. Jim Morrison, the lead singer of the band, died in 1971. The band continued as a trio until disbanding in 1973.
