Green Day - Madison Square Gardens 1994 Concert Print

22"x14" Concert Print Poster

Following the release of “Dookie,” Green Day exploded into the mainstream dominating radio waves and ushering in a punk sellout era of major proportions. The Madison Square Garden show capped off the band’s legendary tour that year, which saw them muddied at Woodstock and end with a huge set in the Big Apple. Several bands played, ranging from Pansey Division to Weezer to even Sheryl Crow and Bon Jovi. Green Day played a cover of “Knowledge” by their idols Operation Ivy during their set, introducing the world to the historic ska band. For the encore, lead vocalist Billie Joe Armstrong came out on stage completely naked, wielding only a guitar to perform a Kiss cover of “She” with the band.
