CBGB is a famous venue that was in New York City during the 70s and 80s. It is most known for being a punk-rock and metal venue where a slew of incredible bands have made their debuts. Including White Zombie! This performance for them was considered to be the show that started it all. 

White Zombie is a noise rock and heavy metal band that blew up in the 90s for their distinct sound and horror theme. Co-founded by Rob Zombie and his High School girlfriend, they introduced an electronic element into the rock scene which was rare at the time. They had their own record label, Silent Explosion until they signed with a larger company after their second studio album. White Zombie's name was inspired by an independent horror film from 1932. They disbanded in 1998 as Rob Zombie went on to record solo and direct horror movies.
