Ol' Dirty Bastard was an American rapper as well as a prominent member of the Wu-Tang Clan in the late 90s into the 2000s. He maintained a solo career in addition to the group and managed to successfully release three solo albums as well as contributing to a few of the Wu-Tang Clan's earlier albums. He was a very eccentric and abrasive personality on stage and in the booth, but those closest to him regarded him as an innovative free spirit who was blinded by the lights in his last years.
