"Wrath of the Tyrant" is the first demo album released by the black metal band, Emperor. The original demo tape had a picture of a chimera on the cover, however over the years each time it was re-released it came with different artwork. The most well-known cover features their bandmate and bassist in full makeup on the front. 

Emperor is a Norwegian black metal band formed in 1991. They are regarded as highly influential to emerging black metal bands. They were active for a little under a decade, due to some of their members being incarcerated for murder and arson of churches. They regrouped for very brief periods to play small tours but never recorded any new music during that time. Their members were all devoted pagans and Satanists, and most of their music is steeped in the culture of Nordic Paganism. They fully believe the church is evil, which is why they began to burn churches themselves. Skal!
