Siouxsie and the Banshees were a British rock band hailing from London in 19176. The gothic-influenced group consisted most notably of lead singer Siouxsie Sioux and guitarist Steven Severin. The group began with a punk-rock influence, and over the years their sound shifted to more alternative rock genres like new wave and alternative pop-rock. With hits like "Spellbound" and "Kiss Them For Me," the group was largely influential on some of the greatest alternative bands of all time, with groups such as Joy Division, LCD Soundsystem, and Thom Yorke citing them as inspirations in their own work.
